Julia Q. Zhu

Julia Q. Zhu is Founder and Managing Director of Observer Solutions, a China-focused e-commerce consulting and research firm. She specializes in e-commerce and technology research in China. She is regularly featured in mainstream media including the Wall Street Journal, The Next Web, Business Insider and Tech in Asia. Ms. Zhu formerly held management roles focused on new product development and consumer insights at Alibaba Group, China’s largest e-commerce company, at its headquarters in Hangzhou, China. Prior to Alibaba, Ms. Zhu worked in Beijing for iResearch, a Chinese internet research and advisory firm. She holds a Master’s degree from Beijing University and attended Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
